Meditation + Italian Vegetarian Lunch! (Kyoto, Japan)

Learn a practical and efficient practice to quiet and focus the mind, and enjoy a sumptuous vegetarian meal after!

In this session, we will discuss and practice yogic meditation, dhyana. Meditation in the various Yoga schools is different than the mindfulness meditation practices of Buddhism. You will learn a practice of meditation that comes from an ancient Tantric Yoga text. This practice is excellent for quieting the mind while creating more focus to assist with your daily tasks. This practice will also heighten your sensory awareness so you may more and more experience the richness that is inherent in your own life and in the lives of the people around you. 

After our meditation session, we will take a short walk to Osteria Conacinetta to experience Taku Tsubouchi’s warm hospitality and delectable Italian vegetarian meal, rooted in the food culture of Puglia, Italy, and hand-crafted with love and care by Taku. This vegetarian take on traditional Puglia food is not a part of his daily menu, but an exclusive offering he crafts for the participants in this workshop.

During the meal, I welcome any and all questions you would like to discuss about Yoga, whether meditation or philosophical. Good people, good conversation, good food!

The cost of this event includes your meal at Conacinetta. Meal is several courses and will include dessert, and coffee or tea. All other drinks must be purchased separately.

The workshop is 10:00-12:30. After this, we go to Osteria Conacinetta, where we may leisurely dine and converse.
