White Tiger Qigong Monthly Class Series – Medical Qigong for Overall Health (Kyoto, Japan)

Learn a daily practice to support a healthy body, mind and emotions.
In this monthly class, you will learn a series of Medical Qi Gong exercises from the White Tiger Qigong school. This is a foundational sequence learned for maintaining the general physiological health of the body, and for preparing the body-mind for more complex Qi Gong practices. This sequence will:
- Increase and help maintain the elasticity of the connective tissue, called fascia.
- Increase freedom in the movement of all of the joints.
- Wring and squeeze out the organs in a way that generates increased vitality in the organ itself. This will also increase the vitality flowing throughout the entire Organ System. In Chinese Medicine, the term “Organ System” indicates not only the organ itself, but also the mental, emotional, physiological, sensory, seasonal and elemental qualities that are an intrinsic part of each organ.
- Stimulate an increased flow of Qi, the life force energy of the breath. This energy called Qi is the foundation upon which rests the health of our entire body, mind and emotions.
In each class we will begin by learning about one or two of the Qi Gong exercises with some detail. We will then practice the entire series, and end with a short standing meditative practice. We will then have a short review of the exercise(s) on which we focused.
No previous Qi Gong knowledge or practice is needed. Beginners are welcome.
All classes take place on a Sunday, 14:15-15:30
